Albert L. Kemp, Jr.

Al Kemp is the President of the firm and heads the Litigation Department.  He represents clients in administrative, federal and state court proceedings.  Mr. Kemp has over twenty years of government service as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia. For nearly six years Mr. Kemp represented the United States in civil matters involving such diverse areas as airplane crash litigation, contract disputes, accidental injuries, and employment and discrimination matters.  For ten years, Mr. Kemp was Chief of the Asset Forfeiture Division where he oversaw the prosecution of cases involving violations of federal money laundering, drug and fraud statutes. In 1999, he was appointed the Coordinator of criminal health care fraud prosecutions for the District and he remained in that position until retiring from federal service in October 2004.

In addition to his duties with the Firm, Mr. Kemp is an adjunct professor at Morehouse College, a member of the board of directors for the Women’s Economic Development Association, and a member of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc.

Rayan Ali

Rayan Ali is the firm’s managing attorney and he heads the Transactions & Private Client Matters area of Kemp Ali.  His practice focuses primarily on small business law and formations, negotiations, contracts, leases and estate planning, including wills, trust, probate, health care directives, powers of attorney, and asset protections. His experience includes serving as legal counsel with the FBI, legal counsel to the 1996 Paralympics Games in Atlanta and legal counsel to the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation. He also served as Chief Arbitrator for Fulton County Superior Courts (Atlanta Judicial Circuit).

Mr. Ali is Past President of the American Institute of Wealth Preservation Attorneys and he was a keynote speaker for the American Bar Association Joint Mid-Year meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona.  He is also the former President and General Counsel to Pro Sports International, Inc.

As the business and legal advisor to physicians and medical practices in Atlanta, Georgia; New Orleans, Louisiana; Biloxi and Gulf Port, Mississippi, Mr. Ali recommended and assisted in the implementation of policies and procedures that turned money losing enterprises into profitable medical practices that tripled the number of employees while generating a five-fold increase in revenues.  Mr. Ali also negotiated mergers and acquisitions of competing practices.
